My favorites

These are some of my favorite childhood cancer-related organizations, all of which touched our family in some way over the past few years.

Give Kids The World is a wonderful resort near Disney that is for Wish families only. We stayed here in September 2014 when we went to Florida for Owen's Make-A-Wish trip. It was amazing! It's designed as a kids fantasyland. They have a carousel, pools, splash park, all day ice cream parlor, horseback riding, train rides, dino putt-putt, games and much more. This is really a special place.

Make-A-Wish granted Owen's wish to go to Mickey World!

CancerFree KIDS is a local pediatric cancer research fundraising organization. Founded and run by a family whose daughter had cancer as a baby, they work tirelessly to raise money for childhood cancer research and donate most of it to Cincinnati Children's.

Dragonfly Foundation is another local organization dedicated to bringing joy to young patients with cancer and their families. We first heard of them at diagnosis when we were in the hospital for 22 nights - Dragonfly sent a huge back of essentials that helped us through early days.
